Multimedia Mapping

Multimedia Mapping is the process of integrating multiple media sources; photo, video, geomatic, animation, and augmented reality to graphically display quantitative information. Using InfoGraphic elements in Multimedia productions dramatically helps the audience comprehend complex or confusing information. It can be as simple as using an Elevation Heat Map instead of Elevation Contours to illustrate topography.

3-D modeling and animation for engineering purposes

One drone flight can yield a variety deliverables. In a 15 minute flight over a sinkhole in Grass Valley, California we captured imagery of the site, created a 3-D model, and built topographic contours and an elevation heat map. The video below served as a PR vehicle for public outreach, and as a marketing tool which generated many thousands of views on the consultants website. It also decreased the number of trespassers who were sneaking onto the site at night.
